At the conclusion of his area development work in Tokyo Bay, Mr. Terada relocated to California to pursue real estate ventures. In 1987 he co-founded Terrada Investment Group, becoming Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President.
The Group owns a warehouse in Torrance and office complex in Newport Beach. It is also invested in numerous hotel and apartment developments from Irvine to Las Vegas, totaling over $250MM, 1,000 units and 300,000 Square Feet.
In addition, Mr. Terada has been the outside advisor to R.D. Olsen Construction since 1990. Over the course of this time the company’s gross revenue has increased from $37MM to $130MM. R.D. Olsen builds apartment communities and student housing for UC Schools, including UC Riverside in Riverside CA.
In 1990, Mr. Terada and Kent Hawkins jointly founded development companies for the purpose of building a sports and recreation facility in the City of Orange. Today, he acts as Chief Executive Officer for the company – managing the sports complex and various investment opportunities.
Mr. Terada is a graduate of the elite Keio University in Japan and holds a Computer Science & Management degree.
